Rasp Pi Home lab serverrack
I found a second hand 19 inch server rack and a switch with POE. i want to move the homeassistant to a Rasp Pi with ssd hat instead of running it on the NAS docker service as it grinds quite a lot on the hdds. Also wish to move the print server as its been a pain to keep the usb mapping running after reboots on the Synology NAS.
3d Printer Extruder fix
The Extruder is a cause of problems and Im considering printing a nex casing for it.
Local Wikipedia server
I am exploring the option of running some local wiki resources on the NAS in a continer service.
Completed Projects
New stairs - home improvement
Cleared the room for the stairs and figured out the flooring. The flooring was completed and raised 40cm above floor level to get a head start for the stairs, then sanded and varnished.
Brew - IPA
The Hazy IPA has been successfully brewed, dry hopped with 200g of hops, cold crashed, and finished fermentation.
Home assistant - M5Paper ESP32 display
Bought a wall USB-C outlet and 3D printed a wall bracket. Successfully got the M5Paper display working and running. The code is in a private git repository, and the generated OpenSCAD files for the 3D print were added to a git repo.
3D print coffee station brackets
Created brackets for the coffee station. Mounted a 57mm portafilter head for the Francis Francis X1 on a wooden plate using an old cabinet front.
Swap espresso machine enclosing
Swapped the Francis Francis X1 enclosure and steamer manifold. Descaled and unblocked the steamer. (Consider writing a post on what the inside of the machine looks like).
Gridfinity drawer organizer
Measured the drawer and printed a Gridfinity grid. Successfully placed and organized: - Phone wireless charger and seat (used a parametric model for a perfect fit). - Pebble watch charger (remixed a watch stand to add negative space). - Garmin Forerunner charger. - Power brick and wiring routed below the grid. - Shaver and shaver heads (used Gillettefinity, finding a working plan/model).
Fix radiator boxes
Modified the panels to accommodate new thermostats (abandoned grooves after a bad review).
Raspberry Pi 10” server rack
Completed the 3D print project for a 10” mini rack for Raspberry Pi.
